Our bad experience started when Joe was combative during scheduling, pressuring us to get the cabinets done prior to getting our floors demoed because it fit his schedule better. He said if we wanted to push the job back a week, we would have to “wait 2 years to get them done.” The painters missed an entire lower panel, shown in the photos. They also got paint all over our windows. When they came back to fix the lower panel that they had missed, jeff did such a sloppy job that he got paint all over our floors that won’t come off and now we have to get the boards replaced. I reached out to them about this and they didn’t even care to respond. They have our money now so just left us with the damage. Finishes look great initially but started chipping away immediately. Their way of painting the cabinets is by air brush. The coating is so thin it lacks the mass for longevity. The company came back after 3 months and retouched cabinets. After 3 years they told us that we would need to sand and refinish the cabinets and it would be cheaper to replace them. We reminded them that the cabinets were only a few years old and that they did it. Words can not adequately express how I felt when I saw how Joe and his crew transformed my outdated cabinets. I bought a house 7 years ago that had been nearly 100% renovated, with the exception of the kitchen cabinets. The door styles were outdated, the ugly hinges visible, and in short time, the paint began to chip away. When I opened a drawer and the entire front came free of the pressboard drawer box, it was time to do something. I found ProRefinish online; sent photos and a request for an estimate on a Sunday evening; received an email estimate the next day; the following day, Joe came to my house to explain the project; two days later he booked it and within 9 days of my initial contact, the project was complete. We could not be more pleased with the kitchen renovation that Joe and his team did in March 2025. My wife wanted a kitchen worthy of Architectural Digest magazine, and that's exactly what we got. Joe replaced our cabinet doors and converted numerous cabinets to drawers, which has made life so much easier. He also did some custom work which included adding new cabinets above the existing ones (including installation of a beautiful crown molding), adding open shelves, and transforming our kitchen island into something amazing. As others have noted, the quality of the doors and drawer fronts is superb, as is the spray finish that is used, which is extremely durable. The team was very easy to work with, and Joe was always willing to provide ideas and accomplish minor improvements, such as microwave trim and a new floor beneath the sink. The result was a wonderfully updated kitchen at an amazing cost. When compared to estimates we got from some of the large franchise renovators, our cabinet work (along with our new counters, installed by another contractor) was about half the cost of those franchise estimates. After several months of daily use, I can honestly say my husband and I are beyond happy—not only with how it turned out but also with how it’s holding up! The new HDF doors Joe made are top-notch, and the paint finish looks and behaves like something straight out of a factory. Joe and the team refinished our cabinet boxes and made new doors, including panels for the appliances. Joe worked with me to design the door style and we love them. He also made a few new cabinets including two “hidden” spice cabinets, which we worked through together to design. He was open to a bunch of my “creative” ideas including the floating shelves.
